The African Centre for AI Governance and Oversight is a pan-African organization committed to supporting organizations across Africa in the responsible, secure, and effective adoption of AI systems in line with existing policy frameworks and international best practices. This includes supporting businesses and institutions to navigate the complex and evolving data protection landscape, ensuring they meet their compliance obligations under the various laws that govern their operations across the continent and beyond

The Centre also works directly with governments and regulatory bodies, providing evidence-based research and expert guidance to help them design and implement effective AI policies and legal frameworks.
